How Apple Delivers Spectacular Service (and how you can, too!)

Good morning everyone, this week's example of spectacular service is from the trillion-dollar company Apple.

I was looking to upgrade my phone and went online to order the iPhone 10. The process was extremely easy and at the end, which only took me two minutes, there was one final question that said, “would you like to trade in your existing I fall for a credit?”

I thought, of course, I would, I certainly do not need two iPhones. At the end of that questionnaire, the last statement said, “what is your serial number for your existing iPhone?” I didn't know what it was and I didn't know where to find it, however, there was a link to the right that said: “If you don't know what your serial number is and you need to know how to find it click here”.

Great service.

Well, they mentioned that the iPhone would be delivered on or around October the 12th. Well, they certainly under promised and over delivered because it came three days later, ten days in advance. When I opened the box and paired it with the other phone it only took a few clicks and about a half-hour for the phones to talk together and I was ready to use my new iPhone 10. Up on the screen said, “Are you ready?” and I pushed the button. As soon as I pushed the button immediately my doorbell rang, and I thought “are these two instances connected?”

Well, I went to the door and it was my FedEx guy Marvin. He was delivering me a box that I was to use to return my old iPhone with a label so that I can receive my credit. Was the service that great or was this a coincidence? I will leave that for you to decide.

This entire event was great the customer service was spectacular the experience was excellent, and the convenience was lightning fast, and it felt like it was customized specifically for me. By having these four components in your business you will be able to stand out instead of blending in from your competition.
