The Happiest Place On Earth

You might have heard the saying over the years, “Walk Disney World is the happiest place on earth”. It may have been however now its number two. There’s a new number one, the happiest place on Earth is Collins Dental Center. I know, I know, I know. You’re probably thinking, “Scotty I know at least 212 other places that are a lot more fun than a dentist’s office. In fact, this seems so ludicrous that you’re actually contemplating whether or not you should watch the rest of the video. Indulge me for a couple of minutes and you’ll see why the team at Collins Dental Center is nothing short of spectacular.

Of course, with COVID-19 everything is different. As soon as I pulled up to Collin’s Dental Center, I had the option of parking in one of ten numbered spaces. Once I parked there, I looked up and I saw a sign that said, “You can call in or text us to let us know what space you’re in.” I called them up and Brittany answered the phone. I told her I was in space number 7, and she came out immediately. She took my temperature from a distance and had me fill out a quick survey, then let me know that Wendy would be out to escort me in, in a few minutes. Wendy came in right away and escorted me into the office where we started the cleaning. She was very pleasant and she asked me how I was doing and she was also wondering what Id be doing after the visit. She made the conversation all about me and it made me felt important. While I was leaning back in the chair in an almost horizontal position, I looked up and I was able to watch TV! They had mounted a big screen TV on the ceiling. Very cool.

After we finished with the cleaning the doctor came in and he took a look at what was going on in my mouth. And he wanted to make sure we had a good plan in moving forward. Then he gave me the complimentary goodie bag, and after that, I went out to see Cindy in the scheduling and finance department. This could be a difficult situation for anyone and sometimes event he best dental plan doesn’t help with the cost of some cosmetic procedures. Well, Cindy was an absolute professional she knew that some of the dental work may not be covered, and even before we began, she mentioned we could work out almost any plan to make sure it fit into my budget. Talk about showing empathy and anticipating a client’s need, this was awesome.

When I arrived home I immediately received a text that said, “Thank you very much for coming to Collins Dental Center,” and it asked me to fill out a quick 3 question survey. And a little note on surveys. Make them short and to the point. If I see a survey that has a little bar down the bottom, telling me what percentage of the survey I’ve completed, it’s already asking for too much of my time and it’s providing no value for in most of the cases, and what happens? I don’t complete it. The Ritz-Carlton, Southwest Airlines, Zappos, Amazon, they’re all known for spectacular customer service.

Now, I put the Collins Dental Center in that group as well.
